学期を通してより複雑な英文を構成できるようにする。 毎週のショートリーディングとショートエッセイ、2回の長文エッセイを提出。 ネイティブの人もこの講義をとっている。 ポッドキャストや、小説の一部分を利用しながら、自分の考えを効果的に伝えることのできるエッセイが書けるようになることが目標。 宇宙を台にしたものもあれば、哲学的な文献も扱うため、ライティングの能力だけでなく、世の中の様々なものへの知見や興味・関心も養うことができる。 Course description This course helps students become more effective writers in academic and professional settings. Students learn to enter ongoing academic conversations, analyze and use secondary sources to formulate, develop, revise, and communicate ideas in writing, and shape their message to different purposes, audiences, and media.
