The course offers students `Danish Perspectives' in various arts and humanities fields. Students will explore different aspects of Danish history and culture and gain an understanding of what defines life in the Nordic region. Throughout the course, students will discuss what characterizes a national community and how it is displayed, upheld, and negotiated. We will explore theories and methods that aim to explain the origin and continuation of national communities and critically investigate specific markers of national identity, such as food culture and humor, in relation to Denmark.
