This course introduces the basic concepts, ideas, and methods in social and cultural anthropology, including explanations of social, economic, political, and ceremonial activities of selected Indigenous, Western and global peoples. It also includes the impacts of colonialism and globalization on various cultural groups. This is a foundational course in anthropology.
