This course is designed for students at Intermediate II level who wish to improve their oral expression skills in English. Classroom activities focus on the production of oral messages. The course content is based on themes of general and academic interest, with a particular focus on socio-cultural topics dealing with North American life studied through authentic sources. In particular, this course enables students to perfect techniques for preparing and delivering various formal and informal speeches before an audience, as well as rhetorical techniques, mainly of the narrative, informative and persuasive type, specific to the North American oratory style. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to produce well-structured oral messages on a variety of topics.
