This language course, based on an experiential learning model, immerses students in specific contexts of Montreal's French and English-speaking cultures. Knowledge of the city's history, heritage and culture is acquired through encounters and interactions involving institutions and players in Montreal's cultural life, all conducted in the target language (French or English). By the end of the course, through the development of their critical thinking skills and reflection on their own interactions, students will have consolidated their communicative skills in the target language, deepened their cultural and historical knowledge of Montreal, and forged links outside the university setting.
