Course Description: An introduction to business history, concepts, principles, and operations. Examines the relationship among business, government and society. About this Course
In this course you will learn how businesses operate within various environments, define and analyze business terms and concepts, and how to use that knowledge in both your professional and personal life. We will explore current events to identify and analyze business practices and theories in action while demonstrating critical thinking skills and understanding in determining effective responses to given situations. My intention is to give students the tools necessary to understand general business concepts and principles with the goal of using those tools in their personal and professional lives.
This is a hybrid course. A hybrid course is a combination of traditional classroom activities and online instruction. In this course, approximately 3 hours of classroom time per week is replaced by content and activities that take place online in Canvas.
