Learning Goals
Become familiar with the most discussed global ethical issues and
their features.
Know central concepts around global ethical issues and challenges
concerning their definition.
Have skills for applying the most central concepts, arguments, and
theories taught during the course to address global issues including
inequality, war, climate change, biodiversity loss.
In order to approve this course:
Attend lectures: (up to 2 absences) and participate in classroom discussions.
Complete 3 assignments during the course: Upload on Moodle a short reflection
in your own words (max 300 words) following the instructions provided. One
assignment every two lectures. Deadlines on Moodle.
Complete the final assignment: Prepare a learning diary (5 pages). The aim of a
learning diary is to summarise, analyse and comment on the course and lectures.
The key to writing a good and useful learning diary is to draw on the topics covered
during the lectures and in the materials, and summarise the main points in your
own words, proving and justifying your own thoughts about what you have learnt
during the course. More detailed information will be provided in Moodle.
