This practical course introduces the students to the basics of
English phonetics and phonology. The students get
acquainted with pronunciation, transcription and intonation
specificities of the BBC English and learn how to apply the
theoretical knowledge for the development of listening and
speaking competencies as well as in English language
teaching.

Grading and evaluating student work in class and/or at the final exam
Midterm exam: 30% of the final grade
Home work: 20% of the final grade
