The course provides students with the upper-intermediate (B2) level of English lexis, grammar, ortography, phonetics and phonology. Based on communicative and competency-based approaches, the course aims to teach students both oral and written academic English and develop autonomous learning and cross-cultural communicative skills. Students improve their phonological, orthographical, grammatical and lexical competencies and develop speaking, listening, writing and reading skills of the upper-intermediate level of academic English. The form of studies includes lectures, seminars, self-study tasks and work in SANAKO lab and in virtual Moodle environment.
