The course develops in students a critical awareness and understanding of the relevance of translation theory to the practical concerns of the translator; it familiarizes students with the fundamental concepts applied in translation studies, some theoretical frameworks and research methodologies, specialized translation practices, translator's competences and tools. The students are taught to prepare a translation brief, to identify translation problems, to retrieve the necessary information from the electronic sources, to have the knowledge of the CAT tools; to choose the most appropriate translation strategies for a specific problem; to keep to translational ethics and to be able to independently develop competences necessary for translator's profession.

このコースでは、翻訳理論と翻訳者の実際的な関心事との関連性についての批判的な認識と理解を深めます。また、翻訳研究で適用される基本的な概念、いくつかの理論的枠組みや研究方法論、専門的な翻訳実務、翻訳者の能力とツールについて学びます。 学生は、翻訳ブリーフの作成、翻訳問題の特定、電子ソースからの必要な情報の取得、CATツールの知識、特定の問題に対する最も適切な翻訳ストラテジーの選択、翻訳倫理を守り、翻訳者の職業に必要な能力を独自に開発できるように指導される。
