①This course will utilize New York City's history and development as a case for the study and analysis of the city's cross cultural interactions. Students will study the multi-cultural aspects of the city in the historical contexts of work, institutions, spirituality, and social movements. Students will use critical thinking skills to evaluate the interdependence of these contexts within historical and modern frameworks. In addition to studying cross-cultural issues in context, students will be improving their academic language skills while exploring topics of interest through a variety of activities and assignments. Open to domestic as well as international students.
Information Excursion fee applies. Class meets Friday 10/25, 11/01, 11/08, 11/15, 11/22, 12/06 & 12/13 from 4PM-7:45PM Trips are on Sat 11/09/24 and Sat 12/07/24 from 8AM-6PM.
