I highly recommend that you buy the set. Then you can write in the books. You can buy them at the WCC bookstore and Amazon. There are class sets to use only in the classroom. You can also borrow the 3rd edition for the day at the library, or you can check out the 2nd edition for the quarter. Return the library books at the end of the quarter. Computer: We are in the computer lab every Tuesday. You will need to do your work on the computer. You need Microsoft Word. If you need to borrow a laptop (and mouse), go to the new Learning Commons (LRN) to check out a laptop the first week of the quarter. It is first come first serve. You must fill out the device check out agreement online through MyWcc and then you can borrow the laptop. Go to the StudentHelpdesk in the LRN for assistance. You can get to the Canvas course by typing www.whatcom.edu (the Whatcom Community College website) and click on Student Portal at the top right side of the page. All course announcements, assignments, discussions, grammar weblinks are on CANVAS. * NOTE* DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER WITH CANVAS. IT DOES NOT WORK. I use Chrome browser.
