"The subject is designed to familiarise students with the theoretical and practical guidelines of strategic tourism planning at different levels, as follows:
- To study the fundamental responsibilities of states in connection with policy-making and tourism-related strategy formulation, including the organisational structures applied in different European countries and in Hungary."
"- To understand the nature of tourism planning systems, including local, regional, and national planning policies, as well as related spheres (culture, spatial development, environmental sustainability, etc.).
- To understand and assess the methods used by governments to measure the impacts of tourism on the economic, social, and natural environment."
"- To appreciate the significance of strategic tourism planning at different levels of public administration.
- To become acquainted with the strategic recommendations and related activities of international tourism organisations and their impacts on national tourism strategic planning."
