Description for 2025/26
Unfortunately, we all experience distress at times, and our mental health can suffer. What insights can psychology offer? This module will introduce different ways we can think about mental health, as well as how we might use psychological approaches to improve mental health and wellbeing, and what challenges mental health research and practice are facing in order to move the field forward.
Aims
To introduce different conceptual frameworks of mental health and distress and encourage critical reflection of psychological theory and intervention.
