・Course description This course introduces fundamentals of piano technique, repertoire, and musical literacy. Music concepts such as the major 5-finger pattern, rhythm, and melody will be explored alongside elementary keyboard harmony. In addition, students will learn how to harmonize and transpose given melodies, and perform ensemble repertoire with peers in class. Working at digital pianos, this course is paced for students beginning musical studies as well as students who are active in other musical areas but new to the keyboard. ・Required textbook and materials 1.
