In this class, we’ll practice and develop speaking and listening skills to help you meet expectations in American university classes, including fluency, note-taking, presentation skills, vocabulary, pronunciation, and oral grammar. You’ll also set your own goals for improving your English skills. The units in this class are designed around authentic listening materials, specifically TED talks. You’ll watch the videos, study the concepts and vocabulary, practice related skills during interactive class activities, and give several presentations.

この授業では、アメリカの大学の授業で必要な流暢さ、ノートテイキング、プレゼンテーションスキル、語彙、発音、口頭文法などを含むスピーキングとリスニングのスキルを練習し、伸ばしていく。また、自分自身の英語力向上の目標を設定する。 この授業のユニットは、特にTEDトークといった本物のリスニング教材を中心に構成されている。学生はビデオを視聴し、内容や語彙を学び、授業内のインタラクティブな活動で関連スキルを練習し、さらに複数回のプレゼンテーションを行う。
