Contents:
The lecture series Globalization and social justice addresses social issues and policy problems of contemporary societies in terms of sustainable development, livelihoods, social identities, and the living environments.
The main aim of the course is to help the students achieve a comprehensive understanding of the complexity and social context of current issues from the North-South perspective.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course participants are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the complexity and dynamic social context of major issues from the North-South perspective.
Modes of study:
The Course requires 80% compulsory attendance of 18 hours of lectures
Compulsory 2 hours examination at the end of the lectures
Book exam OR an essay
Completion mode:
Lectures 20 h including examination, book exam or essay.
