Description:Hospitality and Tourism (HOST) is the world's largest industry and features the highest number of entrepreneurs in the USA and the world. This is an introductory course from the perspective of the emphasis areas of hospitality and tourism (e.g. lodging, food, cruise lines, airlines, destination management organizations) that exist as the foundational entities of hospitality and tourism operations. The course explores the aforementioned aspects of hospitality/tourism and provides information on the nature, scope, and significance at the local, regional, and international levels. The course introduces management issues specific to hospitality and tourism operations. Finally, the course provides an overview of business and management in collegiate settings.
