This course is designed for Intermediate I students who wish to improve their English pronunciation skills. The course content draws on a wide variety of phonological features of basic English. Specifically, this course enables students to produce the phonemic features of North American English, identify essential phonetic information, and understand the relationship between spelling and pronunciation. While focusing on pronunciation, practice includes expressions relevant to Canadian life and culture. By the end of this course, students will be able to produce basic phonological structures appropriately.
