This course is designed for Intermediate II level students who wish to improve their four English language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) while focusing on business-specific themes and vocabulary. Class activities focus on understanding and producing spoken and written messages, and explore the relationship between oral and written communication, taking into account North American business culture and the academic standards of university management studies in North America. The course content draws on a wide range of themes, academic vocabulary, and authentic texts to foster a deeper understanding of business issues in Canada and the United States. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to understand and produce structured spoken and written messages in a variety of business-related contexts.
