This course is designed to equip students with essential skills in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving, using a range of statistical tools and software. By the end of the course, students will have developed core competencies in data collection and analysis, as well as the ability to present findings through effective data visualization. Emphasis will be placed on mastering the use of widely-used software such as Excel, R, and Tableau to process, analyze, and communicate data-driven insights. Students are expected to actively participate in practical exercises that require the use of laptops (or desktops for home practice) to apply learned techniques. The course aims to foster both independent and collaborative learning, encouraging students to use visualization tools to translate complex data into clear, impactful reports. Requirements: Laptop/Computer: Students are required to bring a laptop (or ensure access to a desktop for practice at home). Having a laptop available in class is highly recommended. Software: Students must install Excel, with R and Tableau being optional but highly recommended for expanding analytical capabilities.
