Course: Intermediate Chinese 1 (CHI*201*1) Instructor: Dr. Jinai Sun Course Description: You will further develop essential skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in an authentic Chinese setting. A broad variety of expressions and complex sentence structures will be taught so that you can participate in conversations on various topics related to living, studying and traveling in China. While equal emphasis will still be given to both speaking and Hanzi recognition, students will be guided to write more Chinese essays. Activities related to the broad spectrum of Chinese culture will be organized to facilitate language learning with knowledge and analysis of the cultural background of the language.
