First year Spanish designed to be an innovative course, which develops basic communicative proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. In Spanish 121 you will study the first five chapters of Mosaicos. You will actively learn not only Spanish vocsabulary and structures, but you will listen to real-life spoken Spanish, and you will begin reading in Spanish. The primary goal of this course is to develop the ability to communicate in spoken and written Spanish and this can be realized only through your active participation, both in and out of class.
