textbook information: Globalization A Reader for Writers The study and practice of writing: planning, drafting, and revising for particular aims. Students learn to summarize, interpret, analyze, and question selected readings, with an emphasis on rhetoric. Basic research is introduced, including use of the Internet, databases, and more conventional materials. Placement based on ACT English score and/or writing sample. 神田の2年生でとるAcademic Writingをさらにアドバンスしたイメージのクラスです。神田ではファーストドラフトまでに一週間以上あり、そこから修正してファイナルドラフトが定番だと思いますが、このクラスはアメリカ人用のクラスのためファーストドラフトまで二日程度、そこから教授と個人ミーティングをし修正した上でファイナルドラフトを出します。(毎回最低3枚程度のレポート)書く内容は教授によりますが、わたしがとったシンドラー先生の授業は他の国の留学生も数名いて、globalizationやstereotypesについてが多かったです。
