The aim of the course is to introduce students into the cultural interaction between East and West from its earliest manifestations and to analyze various cultural phenomena. Results to be achieved: students will be able to describe main tendencies of cultural interaction between East and West; to explain the forms of interaction in different areas of culture; to define the main features of Orientalist movement in Lithuanian literature, art and science. Teaching methods: lectures, seminars, individual work.
