The course `International and Inter-cultural Communications' is designed to familiarize students with cultural diversity of the world and principles of evaluation, identification and comparison of different cultures, using notions of cultural dimensions and meta-communication. The course is oriented not only towards the theoretic knowledge, but also develops students' tolerance, polycentric thinking, and multiculturalistic attitude. The course deals with discourses and representations of intercultural communication, clashes and conflicts of cultures, perception and depiction of cultural otherness.
