Proficiency in advanced grammar is an essential step toward being able to successfully function at the academic university level. This course will teach students how to improve their grammatical skills through practical application in texts and class work. In addition, authentic texts that students produce will be analyzed in order to identify and target additional areas of grammatical need. Subjects covered will include: verb tenses, pronouns, parallelism, adjectives, adverbs, modifiers, transitions, conjunctions; adverb, adjective, and noun clauses. This is an advanced course and competency in basic grammar skills is required.
