Course Description This course is designed for ESL students who have just become advanced readers, who need to strengthen their reading skills for personal or career purposes, and who are considering academic study. Short stories, newspaper articles, and a novel are among the reading materials that will be used in this class. To enhance reading skills, student will study vocabulary as well as dozens of common English idioms. Students will demonstrate their mastery of the vocabulary and idioms not only by recognizing and understanding the vocabulary and idioms while reading, but also by using them correctly in speech and writing.
