This course will help students improve their conversational skills in English by introducing them to fundamental grammatical structures, vocabulary, and discourse patterns needed for everyday communication. Through directed practice, students will become familiar with the language features introduced and will be able to use them appropriately and confidently in conversation. Specific teaching methods are likely to vary somewhat between instructors. However, in all classes students will be given opportunities to use English in class with the aim of engaging in authentic and practical conversation.
