The purpose pf this course is to improve your listening comprehension and note-taking skills on academic material and to improve your speaking skills in formal and informal situations. Our classroom practice will include: ・taking and using notes on academic lectures ・understanding main ideas, supporting details, and vocabulary on spoken passages ・discussing and expressing/defending points of view on academic topics ・working effectively in groups ・giving group and individual 5-7 minutes speeches
