Course Description What goes on in the financial markets, institutions, and within the financial system as a whole has a powerful impact on our economy and our daily lives. The primary objective of this course is therefore to provide students with a fundamental and comprehensive understanding of the basic structure, functions, and services of the financial markets and institutions that make up our global financial system. The course also intends to provide students with the basic analytic framework and principles to organize students' thinking in understanding the connection between theoretical concepts and real-world applications of financial markets and institutions.
