SolBridge Mission The prime objective of the course is to deliver the educational promise of SolBridge to educate the next generation of Asian Thought leaders. The school aims to equip graduates with a Global Perspective, Asian Expertise, Creative Management Mind, Cross Cultural Competence and a sense of Social Responsibility. This course will contribute to all elements of the SolBridge mission imparting essential body of knowledge and practical skills to the students on a wide range of related topics. Course Objectives This course introduces undergraduate students particularly to the basics of management for digital firms and how they have become an integral part of the global operations of the modern firm. It begins with discussions on the potential of information systems (and technology) in improving operational efficiency of common business processes and how they could be managed effectively. Information technology infrastructure and its various aspects are understood before looking deeper into enterprise, supplier and customer applications. Having gained some knowledge of the applications, the students are equipped with practical skills for selection, acquisition and deployment of information systems, for which the course uses several case studies and exercises. Some essential aspects of IS applications design and development are also covered. Therefore, the course is arranged in four modules drawn below with their shades representing the emphasis placed on each of them.
