今月からホームステイをやめ、シェアハウスに引っ越しました。シェアハウスは友達に情報を聞いて回って見つけました。日本に住んでいる時はずっと実家で暮らしていたので、初めての一人暮らしで、料理や家事などを全て一人でやらなくてはいけないので最初はとても不安でした。だけど不安を感じたのは最初だけで、ハウスメイトたちはとてもいい人で、ホームステイでは決まりがたくさんあり不自由に感じていた部分もシェアハウスでは多少自由になりとても楽しいです。今の家は学校へ徒歩10分という近さなので、朝の時間に余裕ができるし、授業の合間にお昼ご飯を食べに帰ることもできてとても便利でした。 今月の4日(4th of July)はアメリカが独立した記念日でした。Independence Dayとして様々なところで花火が打ち上げられました。私も友達と家の近くにあるマリーナビューという海岸へ見に行きました。花火を見ていたら少し日本の夏が恋しくなりました。
