last month
[daily life] I was busy with my internship every day. I had to go to airport literally everyday. Even in christmas holiday. So I didn't have time to hang out with my friends as much as before but I still did both since this month is going to be my last one. I actually really enjoy this study abroad for 9 months. [meals] Since I went to airport everyday I usually ate luch at the airport. For dinner I ate at home or go out with friends.

[daily life] In thins month, I spend a lot of time with my friends. I'm always hanging out with my friends more than my host family recently. After class we went to watching movie and eating dinner. Also my internship is pretty hard like from 7am before class but I'm sure it's going to be very good experience for me. [weather] It's already so cold especially in the morning and the night time. So we have to wear coat when we go out.

[daily life] In October, we had halloween so we went to music festival with costume. It was so much fun. And in this quarter I got some new friends from class so almost every day we're hanging out after the class. Most of my time spend with friends. In addition I finally got my internship at Seatac airport. We already had few days. [Meals] Sometimes I eat with my host family but most of the time I eat with my friends these days.

[daily life] Summer vacation was over and fall quarter is going to be my last one in here. In summer vacation I spent a lot of time with my friends. [Meals] In summer vacation I was always with my friends so I didn't stay at my house then I didn't eat with my host family. [weather] Recently, getting cold especially at night. So I bring jacket for the night most of the time. Sunset is around 7pm to 8pm.

[daily life] In August here is hotter than I expected. We're in summer vacation so I went to Hawaii with my family and Vancouver with my friends. I really had a good time outside of Seattle. But when I went to back Seattle I feel like home so I got comfortable life in here. [weather] I thought Seattle is not hot even in summer however, here is also hot in this month. According to my host mother, this year is not normal and too hot compared to every year.

[daily life] I'm staying with my host family as well. recently I'm always hanging out with my friends so I do not spend time with my host family so much. Since I got close American friends I think my English skill is getting better because I use English more than before. So my american life has been very fulfilling. [transportation] I usually use bus to go school but sometimes bus doesn't come on time so I always have to think about the time.

[daily life] I'm doing home stay. I like my host family because they are so nice to me and another student from kanda. we're living together since we came here. I didn't know her when I was in Japan but now we are very nice friend and we got many friends from our school. [meals] Usually I eat dinner with my host family but sometimes I go out to eat with my friends. For lunch I eat pizza or sandwich at my school.

[生活] ホームステイをしています。私のホストファミリーはとても良い人達なので毎日の生活も楽しいです。月に何度かホストファミリーの親戚も遊びに来るので少しずつ仲良くなり話す機会も増えました。あまり外出や遠出をする家庭ではないので週末などは友達と遊びにいく以外家にいることが多いです。 [食事] 朝は日によってバラバラですがたいてい昼は授業の合間などに学校で食べることが多いです。夜ご飯は基本的に家でホストファミリーと食べますが、週に何度かは友達と外で外食することもあります。また、ホストファミリーと外食をすることは全くないです。 [通学] 毎日バスで通学しています。アメリカのバスは日本のバスと違いあまり時間が正確ではないため、余裕をもって家を出るようにしています。また、私が使っているバスは30分に1本しかないため不便です。 [週末の過ごし方] 週末は家にいて課題をやるか、友達と買い物や遊びに行って過ごしています。

[生活] ホームステイをしています。今月のはじめにあったイースターではホストファミリーの親戚が集まって、食事をしたりパーティーをしたりしました。親戚とも仲良くなれるきっかけになってよかったです。また、ホストファミリーが親戚や兄弟のところへ行く時は私たちも連れて行ってくれます。 [食事] 基本的に、朝と昼は自分で食べています。夜は家でファミリーと一緒に食べますが、最近は学校の友達ができてきたので、週に何度かは友達と食べることもあります。 [通学] 毎日バスで通学しています。アメリカのバスは日本のバスと違いあまり時間が正確ではないため、余裕をもって家を出るようにしています。また、私が使っているバスは30分に1本しかないため不便です。 [気候] 4月中旬までは肌寒さが残っていましたが、最近は気温も上がって少しずつ温かくなってきました。日中は半そででも平気なくらいです。しかし、夜になるとやはりまだ寒いので常に羽織る物を持ち歩いています。 [週末の過ごし方] 週末は友達と買い物に行ったり映画を観たりして過ごしています。また、授業の課題がたくさん出るため休日の1日は課題にあてています。

アメリカに到着
[滞在先] 私のホストファミリーはアメリカ人でお母さんとお父さんが30代、娘が2歳の3人家族です。 私ともう一人神田の生徒が一緒に生活しています。夕食の際は家族全員で食卓を囲み、その日にあった一番良かった事と良くなかった事を1人ずつ話します。とても良い家族で私たちの話を一生懸命聞いてくれます。 [食事] 両親とも仕事がある為、平日の朝と昼は自分たちで食べます。 夕食は毎日必ず手作りで、おいしいので毎晩楽しみです。 [通学] 学校まではバスで通学しています。乗車時間は20分から25分くらいですが、家からバス停まで歩いて15分ほどかかります。また、日本に比べてバスが時間通りに来なかったり信号待ちで時間を食うことがあるので余裕をもって家を出ています。 [気候・服装] 突然、雨が降ることが多く毎日傘を持ち歩いています。しかし、次の日は初夏の様な暑さになることもあるので服装には少し困っています。常にカーディガンなどの羽織を持っていると便利です。
